OVERVIEW

Product Overview

The Spartan SMH 100P, SMH 100V, SMH 100L, SMH 120P, SMH 120V, SMH 150P, and SMH 150V Multi-functional Hoists are advanced rack-and-pinion vertical transportation systems designed for residential towers, commercial developments, power plants, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, and high-rise construction sites. Built as all-in-one vertical logistics solutions, the SMH Series supports the movement of passenger crews, masonry materials, equipment, and structural rebar bundles on a single mast system, helping reduce dependence on conventional tower cranes, improve site space utilization, and streamline material handling. Engineered using advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the structural frames, mast systems, and load-bearing components are optimized to withstand demanding static and dynamic loads in harsh construction environments. High-grade Galvanized Iron (GI) cabins, Pure Polyester (PP) powder-coated finishes, hot-dip galvanized mast components, and corrosion-resistant construction provide long-term durability against moisture, concrete splashes, dust, and changing weather conditions. The Spartan SMH range also incorporates multi-layer safety systems and smart Industrial IoT monitoring for real-time diagnostics, operating data, and maintenance support. With multiple capacity and configuration options across the 100, 120, and 150 series, these multi-functional construction hoists provide a safe, efficient, space-saving, and productivity-focused vertical transportation solution for demanding modern construction projects.
FEATURES

Key Features

01. Revolutionary Multi-Functional Material Handling

All-in-One Cargo Cage

Designed to support multiple logistics tasks simultaneously from the beginning of construction till the end of the project. The spacious cabin handles:
Concrete Blocks & Clay Bricks
Heavy Rebar Steel & Stirrup Bundles
Sanitary Ware & Piping Fixtures
Fragile Glass, Facade, & Large Marble Slabs
Wet Concrete Buckets & Mortar
Passenger Crews & Maintenance Personnel

Optional Heavy-Duty Rebar Attachment

Speeds up site logistics and cuts tower crane dependency by safely carrying up to 0.4 Tons of structural steel rebars (up to 12 meters maximum length) vertically.

Forklift-Accessible Front Panel Door

The multi-material cage is engineered with a specialized openable front-side panel door. This allows on-site forklift crews to roll heavy aggregate pallets or bulky cargo directly in and out of the cabin effortlessly.

Spring-Loaded Passenger Doors

Cabin entry and exit doors are spring-loaded for easy, effortless, and fast opening and closing by site operators, ensuring complete operator safety.

02. Elite Powertrain & 50% Electrical Power Savings

Rossi or Nord Inline Helical Bevel Gearbox

Powered by high-efficiency European-make geared motors (6.9 kW x 2 Nos., totaling 13.8 kW of dual-drive motor power). Paired with inline helical bevel planetary gearboxes, this mechanical drivetrain minimizes rotational friction and load inertia to achieve up to 50% electrical power savings.

Japanese Mitsubishi VFD Speed Controls

Comes standard with a high-performance Japanese 15 kW Mitsubishi Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). The VFD regulates starting current spikes, prevents physical motor windings from overheating, and ensures completely smooth acceleration and soft-stops with zero cabin vibration.

SMPS Control Voltage Safety

Onboard electrical controls operate on a stable 24 Volt DC supply converted via a protective Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) unit. This eliminates control panel burnouts, shielding sensitive relays and display screens from severe site voltage drops or fluctuations.

Disciplined Glands & Ties

Wiring connections are tightly bound using heavy-duty cable ties and moisture-proof glands to withstand continuous extreme outdoor weathering.

03. European CE-Certified Safety Systems

EN12159 Safety Conformance

Meticulously engineered and manufactured in strict compliance with European safety standards EN12159:2012 and EN60204-1:2006+A1:2009, ensuring the structural framework remains sustainable under maximum dynamic loads.

SSD 3500 Progressive Safety Brake

Features the advanced European-designed progressive safety brake with a latest four-point contact lock. If descending speed exceeds safe travel boundaries by 0.4 m/s or more, the SSD 3500 instantly clamps the square mast rack to smoothly arrest the cage. It features an automatic on-site reset, eliminating manual disassembly.

Government-Tested Electrical Panels

The control panel has successfully passed rigorous safety and emission testing under IEC/EN 60204-1:2006 conducted by an official government testing body.

IP67 Water- and Dust-Proof Limit Switches

Incorporates top-tier Teknic and Telemecanique limit switches (top, bottom, slow down, and final) with IP67 protection to prevent mechanical over-travel. An electrical entry door safety switch prevents the cage from traveling if cabin doors are unlocked.

04. Smart Telemetry & Diagnostics

Industrial IoT Real-Time Platform

Fully connected with Spartan's smart Industrial IoT platform. Site project managers and Spartan's OEM technical support teams can remotely monitor run hours, drop test counts, active power conditions, and fault history logs displayed as analytical charts from an online dashboard.

Intelligent HMI Touch-Console

Inside the operator cabin, a smart Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen tracks and displays exact floor position, running hours, active selected floors, and active overload detections to speed up on-site troubleshooting.

What is the maximum rated carrying capacity and climbing height of the SMH 100P?
The SMH 100P multi-functional hoist is standard-rated to carry a maximum payload of 1.0 Ton (1000 kg) and is standard-engineered to climb safely up to a maximum vertical height of 100 meters. Its spacious passenger-material cabin measures 2.0 x 1.2 x 2.2 meters to accommodate site workers alongside bulky construction aggregates comfortably.
What is the optional "Rebar Attachment" feature and how does it help on site?
To eliminate the heavy cost and space limitations of using tower cranes to hoist long steels, the SMH 100P offers an optional specialized rebar attachment. This heavy-duty frame is mounted to the side of the hoist carriage and is standard-rated to carry up to 400 kg of rebar steel bundles up to a maximum length of 12 meters vertically.
How do the European inline helical gear motors save up to 50% electrical power?
Traditional construction lifts use direct-drive motors that generate high friction and draw extreme current surges on startup. The SMH 100P is equipped with European-make inline helical bevel Rossi/Nord planetary design gearboxes driven by high-torque dual motors (6.9 kW x 2 nos.). Pairing these gearboxes with our 15 kW Mitsubishi VFD minimizes rotational friction and starting current spikes, yielding up to 50% electrical power savings.
What automatic mechanical safety locks prevent the hoist cage from accidentally falling?
Personnel safety is Spartan's core manufacturing mandate. The SMH 100P is equipped with the advanced European-designed SSD 3500 progressive safety brake fitted on a separate plate in the carriage. In the rare event that descending speed exceeds safe travel boundaries by 0.4 m/s or more, the centrifugal device activates a four-point contact lock to smoothly clamp the rack and arrest the cage. It is self-resetting, saving valuable on-site time.
What electrical safety systems protect our operators and control panel?
The SMH 100P control panel has passed rigorous safety and emission testing under IEC/EN 60204-1:2006 conducted by a government testing body. It incorporates an SMPS unit that converts power to safe 24V DC to extend the life of electrical parts, high-reliability IP67 Teknic/Telemecanique limit switches to prevent over-travel, electrical entry/exit door safety switches to halt travel if cabin doors are unlocked, and HMI console diagnostics with Industrial IoT remote telemetry.
