Fire Evacuation Lift
OVERVIEW

Product Overview

The Spartan SFL 100, SFL 100E, and SFL 150 Fire Evacuation Lifts are specialized high-rise emergency vertical transportation systems engineered for safe firefighter access and rapid occupant evacuation in residential towers, commercial buildings, hotels, factories, refineries, and other critical infrastructure. Designed for demanding life-safety applications, the SFL Series can be customized to suit both new and existing buildings, including high-rise structures of up to 90 storeys. Developed using advanced SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the structural geometry, static and dynamic loading, and thermal load-deflection characteristics are carefully evaluated to support dependable performance under emergency conditions. The range is manufactured under stringent quality systems with a strong focus on structural reliability, operational safety, and long-term durability. The Spartan Fire Evacuation Lift Series is designed in line with the applicable safety requirements referenced by the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of the Mumbai Fire Brigade, making it suitable for projects requiring dedicated emergency access and evacuation infrastructure. With flexible integration options, robust engineering, and model choices for different building and load requirements, the SFL 100, SFL 100E, and SFL 150 provide a practical high-rise fire evacuation and rescue solution.
FEATURES

Key Features

01. Advanced Fire Isolation & Thermal Protection

Up to 2-Hour Fire-Rated Cabin Protection

The Spartan SFL 100, SFL 100E, and SFL 150 Fire Evacuation Lifts are engineered with fire-resistant cabin construction designed to withstand intense external heat and flame exposure for up to 2 hours, helping provide a protected evacuation environment during high-rise emergencies.

Thermal Insulation for Passenger Protection

Selected models, including the SFL 150, use high-density ceramic wool insulation within double-wall cabin panels to reduce heat transfer and improve thermal shielding during fire and rescue operations.

Smoke-Resistant Vertical Sliding Door

The SFL 150 features an upper-sliding vertical cabin door with a heat-resistant vision panel, allowing firefighters and operators to inspect landing conditions before opening while helping restrict smoke entry.

Flexible Integration for New & Existing Buildings

The SFL 100 and SFL 100E can be customized to suit different building layouts and shaft dimensions, supporting installation in both new construction and existing high-rise structures.

Corrosion-Resistant Construction

Selected SFL models use high-grade GI sheet panels with 7-tank chemical pre-treatment and Pure Polyester (PP) powder coating, along with hot-dip galvanized mast and wall-tie components for improved durability in harsh and coastal environments.

Designed Around Mumbai CFO Fire-Safety Requirements

The Spartan SFL Fire Evacuation Lift range is developed around the high-rise evacuation and rescue requirements referenced by the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of the Mumbai Fire Brigade, supporting dedicated emergency vertical access for modern buildings.

What are the load capacities, travel heights, and speeds of the Spartan SFL Fire Evacuation Lifts?
The SFL 100 and SFL 100E are rated for 1.0 Ton (1000 kg) and can travel up to 120 meters at speeds of up to 60 m/min (1 m/sec). The SFL 150 supports 1.5 Tons (1500 kg) and is available in two variants: the SFL 150 LS, which travels up to 120 meters at 40 m/min, and the SFL 150 HS, which is engineered for heights up to 300 meters at 60 m/min.
What level of fire and thermal protection does the SFL Series provide?
The Spartan SFL Series uses fire-resistant cabin construction designed to withstand direct flame exposure and extreme structural heat for up to 2 hours. The SFL 150 additionally uses high-density ceramic wool insulation within the cabin panels to reduce heat transfer and provide enhanced thermal shielding for firefighters and evacuees.
What drive systems and emergency braking features are used?
The SFL 100 and SFL 100E use a robust rack-and-pinion drive mechanism, while selected SFL models use high-efficiency NORD/Rossi geared motor systems. Motor ratings range from approximately 14 kW to 32 kW, depending on model and speed configuration. Integrated electromagnetic braking helps arrest cabin movement during a power loss, supporting safer emergency operation.
Can Spartan SFL Fire Evacuation Lifts operate during building power failures?
Yes. The SFL range is designed for integration with standby generators, solar power systems, and solar battery backup banks, allowing continued evacuation and rescue operation during building-wide power outages. Protective control systems and low-voltage electronics further support dependable emergency performance.
Can the SFL Fire Evacuation Lift be customized for different buildings?
Yes. Spartan SFL lifts can be engineered for new and existing buildings and adapted to different architectural layouts. Depending on project requirements, installation can be configured outside the building, within a C-shaped duct, or inside a dedicated lift shaft.
